Diana Zombola has always been fascinated by the arts. She holds degrees in music education (BMuEd) and counseling and guidance (MA). Growing up she was always drawing or dabbling with something artistic. Diana is one of the founding members of the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, having served for 25 years as the Principal Violist, she recently stepped down from the responsibilities of Principal in order to dedicate her time to her glass. She began her love of glass more than 25 years ago, then put her glass and tools away to raise two daughters. When her youngest daughter went away to college, Diana went to Royalty Stained Glass to take some refresher classes. It was at Royalty were she met the owner, Jana Bordelon and they rapidly developed a friendship; and discovered her love of glass fusing, and dichroic glass. Diana has studied under some of the giants in glass fusing; Patty Gray, Gil Reynolds, Kent Lauer, Jim Gregory, Newy Fagan, Janet Zambia, and Michael Dupille; and is always open to new ideas, and experimenting with different glass techniques. She has often been heard describing herself as a glass addict, there is nothing more fun that creating something original in glass.
