The Elliotts have worked together as potters for more than 35 years. Working mainly with high fire functional stoneware, they jointly throw and develop shapes that will compliment the textures which will be added to the piece. Each is the others best critic.
In pottery, each piece is an integrated whole. Every step in the production process focuses on achieving the desired end result. Even then, surprising effects happen, making each piece unique. We look forward to opening the kiln, excited to see how the final firing conditions within the kiln have changed the expected results.
The Elliotts have enjoyed expanding their functional line of stoneware to add Raku, handmade tiles a variety of piggy banks and sculptural wall hangings.
The Elliott's pottery is shown in Arati Artists Gallery in Colorado Springs, Cottonwood Center for the Arts in Colorado Springs, Ann Arbor Art Center in Ann Arbor Michigan, Serendipity of Breckenridge, Colorado, The Wild Eye Gallery in Evergreen, Colorado and the Grace Gallery in the Art District on Santa Fe in Denver.
